Sondra serves as the Communications Coordinator for the Immunization Coalitions Technical Assistance Network (IZTA), a CDC funded project that offers technical assistance and support to immunization coalitions across the US. As Communications Coordinator, Sondra manages the development and maintenance of routine communication tools designed for immunization coalition members, including a Web site (www.izta.org), semi-monthly electronic newsletter, listserv postings, and monthly technical assistance teleconferences.
Additionally, Sondra supports media outreach, media product development and partnership efforts for the Seasonal Influenza Campaign, CDC's award winning national media campaign to promote annual influenza vaccination, and provides program, administrative and financial support to other CHC health communication projects.
Before coming to AED, Sondra served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in the Women’s Health Department of the Hudson River HealthCare, a network of thirteen community health centers serving over 42,000 patients throughout New York State’s Hudson Valley.
Sondra earned a master’s degree in Political Science from Lehigh University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Salisbury University. Sondra is also working towards a Master’s of Public Health degree at The Johns Hopkins University.
