Melissa manages a childhood immunization campaign, focusing on providing accurate and timely vaccination information to healthcare providers and caregivers of children up to two years of age. Her work on the childhood immunization program includes overseeing the development of a three-year communication plan, materials development, partnership coordination, and media outreach. Ms. Talbot supports partnership efforts for CDC’s annual influenza campaign and provides assistance on materials development for NICHD’s Media Smart Youth program.
Previously, Ms. Talbot was responsible for all account activities for CDC’s National Bone Health Campaign, including strategic counsel, budgeting, and staffing. She oversaw media outreach, partnership development, materials development, research and evaluation, and the development and implementation of the five-year social marketing plan. She planned and executed national promotional activities, including a partnership with the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and a grassroots/guerilla marketing effort in New York City during the holiday season.
Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia.
